About me
I started my carpet fitting training in the year 2000 with a very experienced fitter , by 2004 I was working as a fully trained fitter by myself . Over the years I myself have trained 5 apprentices up to fitter level . I’m also NVQ qualified which means my work has been assessed and has passed all relevant levels that are needed to be doing my job at a skilled level . Im fully insured to be working within peoples homes which is peace of mind for both the customers and myself .
I try wherever possible to source everything myself because by cutting out the middle man (the carpet shops) I can pass the savings onto my customers which is how my prices remain competitively low . With over 20 years in the industry I have the same supply contacts as the shops and can offer all the same services to my customers . This year I have expanded even more by buying my own tape binding machine so that my customers who want stair runners can have it done directly from me. A shop outsources this job and it can take weeks for the taping (the edges on a carpet runner ) to come back to the shop which then needs to be fitted therefor taking a shops turnaround time to 4 weeks .
I’m hoping to expand even further in the future by purchasing a whipping machine that can not only be used for carpet stair runners but also to make offcuts of carpets into rugs !
